Annie Morris, LGPC, NCC

Clinical Mental Health Counselor

Annie Morris is a Clinical Mental Health Counselor at BrykMinds. She holds licensure as a Licensed Graduate Professional Counselor (LGPC) in the State of Maryland, is a National Certified Counselor (NCC), and hopes to obtain licensure in Washington D.C. soon! With a focus on performance mental health, Annie works with individuals in high-pressure environments, including current and former athletes, coaches, young professionals, executives, and those navigating life transitions. She supports clients experiencing performance anxiety, perfectionism, burnout, injury, identity development, women’s issues, and challenges related to self-worth.

A former Division I lacrosse player, youth coach, and personal trainer, Annie brings a deep, lived understanding of the psychological, emotional, and physical demands of high-performance roles. She creates a collaborative, relationship-driven space where clients feel both supported and thoughtfully challenged. Her therapeutic style is warm, conversational, collaborative, and attuned - rooted in compassion, curiosity, and a deep respect for the vulnerability that growth requires.

Annie is passionate about bridging the gap between mental health and performance. Grounded in a Person-Centered framework, her approach focuses on trust-building, values alignment, self-awareness, and sustainable growth. She believes therapy should center on clients as whole humans, not just as performers, providing a space where they can be seen, known, and valued beyond achievement.

Annie holds dual Bachelor of Science degrees in Psychology and Health Sciences from Virginia Commonwealth University and earned her Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Johns Hopkins University. Her clinical training includes work at GIFTs Mental Health Clinic and Loyola University Maryland Counseling Center. While completing her graduate degree she served as a Graduate Assistant for Student-Athlete Success at Johns Hopkins. Annie is also a member of the Association for Applied Sport Psychology (AASP).

Annie is deeply committed to social justice and advocacy, recognizing how systems of power and intersecting identities shape the therapeutic space. She actively fosters an inclusive, affirming environment and is dedicated to her own ongoing identity work, cultural humility, and community engagement.

Outside of counseling, you can find Annie running, sailing, traveling, cheering on the Orioles and Eagles, and spending time with friends and family.

Annie is currently under clinical supervision as she works toward full licensure as an LCPC. Her rate for individual therapy is $165.00, and she offers sliding scale options for a limited number of clients. She also provides consultation for teams and athletic organizations.

Annie looks forward to connecting with you!
